Q: How do I book the Hall/Committee Room?
A: Go to the Silsoe Village Hall Website, and click on Hall Hire. There you will see the availability of the Hall and costings. Bookings are made directly from this site.
Q: Where do I pick the key up from?
A: Access is now via a code which will be emailed to you prior to your booking.
Q: How do I pay?
A: An invoice will be emailed to you prior to your booking, to be paid before your booking date.
Q: How much is the deposit?
A: We do not ask for a deposit
Q: How do I access the Committee Room
A: A key is required and details will be emailed to you prior to your booking. The Committee Room is booked via a separate on-line booking.
Q: Is the kitchen included in my booking?
A: Yes
Q: What equipment is in the kitchen?
A: Oven, Hob, Fridge, Kettles, Crockery and glassware. Equipment for cleaning up once you have finished with the Hall is also provided in the kitchen.
Q: Do the Hall and Committee Room have Wi-Fi?
A: Yes, and the code can be found in the kitchen and in the Committee Room.
Q: Does the Hall have a bar?
A: Yes
Q: Who supplies the staff to run, and contents of the Bar?
A: The Hirer
Q: Where are the tables and chairs?
A: Tables are in the Hall, with spares in the chair cupboard. The chair cupboard is the last one on the left-hand side of the Hall. It is not locked.
Q: What size bouncy castle will fit in the Hall?
A: Absolute maximum 10 foot high.
Q: How do I access the sound system?
A: The Hall does not have a sound system for hire. You will need to bring your own.
Q: How do I access the stage, and stage lighting?
A: These are NOT included in your booking.
Q: How many does the Hall hold?
A: 100 seated around tables. 120 in Theatre style – chairs only.
Q: How many does the Committee Room hold?
A: 20
Q: Do we have access to the outside space?
A: The garden space to either side of the Hall is included in your booking. However please be mindful of the neighbours. The car park space is only for parking, and events should not spill into the car park.
Q: Can I arrive earlier than my booking time to set up?
A: No, your booking slot must include set up and take down time.
